Help when you need it
Subway Status Support
Subway Status controls a compatible Bluetooth LED subway sign. You can also explore the complete interface without hardware by tapping Explore Demo on the connection screen.
Connecting your sign
- Power on your compatible Subway Sign device.
- Enable Bluetooth on your iPhone.
- Open Subway Status and keep the phone near the sign.
- Select the sign when it appears and wait for synchronization to finish.
If the sign does not appear
Once your sign is online, it turns Bluetooth off so it has the memory it needs for its internet connection. Bluetooth comes back on by itself during setup, for a minute after the sign is plugged in, and whenever the sign can't get online.
- If your phone is linked to the sign, the app wakes it for you; it appears within about 30 seconds.
- Otherwise, unplug the sign and plug it back in, then open the app within a minute.
- Confirm that the sign is powered on and the phone is nearby.
- Open iPhone Settings and allow Bluetooth access for Subway Status.
Wi-Fi note
Compatible ESP32 sign hardware connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Many home routers provide both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under the same network name.
